Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Under limited administrative and general supervision, conduct maintenance services on production equipment and machines ensuring that such equipment is in good repair and safe operating condition.
TECHNICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Install, maintain, test, modify, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment utilized in the Operation, specifically CNC.
2.Develop, implement and maintain preventative maintenance program schedules and records.
vendor repair/installation on-site visits regarding all production equipment.
4.Responsible for spare parts inventory.
5.Ensure equipment meets OSHA machine guarding and Lock-Out Tag-Out requirements.
6.Evaluate Best Cost service solutions to exceed Operation's performance metrics.
7.Notify Supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety and productivity.
8.Maintain a high awareness of personal safety at all times.
9.Maintain working area in a neat and orderly manner.
10.Maintain effective working relationships with associates.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
1.Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
2.Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
3.Reports directly to Technical Manager and senior engineer. May provide work direction to level I and II maintenance technicians. Collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Purchasing and Quality Assurance personnel. Has contact with outside vendors and customers
4.Work with minimal supervision. Process selection affects manufacturing ability to respond to customer requirements. Errors would result in scrap or rework of end product. Implement new products in a timely manner. Work on manufacturing problems to reduce costs and increase quality.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Technical Certificate preferred
Five years of related experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic equipment repair and maintenance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES (KSAAS)
Knowledge
Ability to satisfactorily complete and implement all OJT and required trainings.
Analytical, Business & Technical
Ability to apply job knowledge and skills to improve productivity, quality and timeliness and to solve problems, using good judgment.
Ability to understand screw machine capability.
Ability to implement new technologies or methods as needed.
Working knowledge of personal computers and software, prefer CAD experience.
Ability to understand and implement AS9100, ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Ability to operate equipment and use tools and techniques effectively, efficiently and in accordance with ergonomic principles.
Ability to anticipate, negotiate and manage conflicts, problems, changing situations and deadlines.
Proficiency in software as required; ability to perform math calculations, measurement, analysis or reporting as directed.
Ability to comply with Company policies and procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately orally, in writing or electronically.
